INTRO



Accident or undesired event can occur anywhere and anytime. This incident could be a minor incident or a disaster involving patients in large numbers.
The first person who will give help are those who are on the scene. Those who seek to provide this aid have different levels of knowledge ranging from not having first aid knowledge and are not trained to have an experienced & trained. There was a time of relief at the crash site until the victims can obtain relief by medical personnel in health facilities, so that the grace period is to be filled by the first person closest to the victims who have First Aid skills.

1. Destination First Aid
Perpetrators of first aid is the first rescuers arrived and the closest to the victim, who has the ability and trained in basic medical treatment.


Destination First Aid:
a. Saving the Soul Sufferer
b. Preventing Disability
c. Provide comfort and support the healing process.
Who can help in an emergency? In general, everyone should help, but the help that one would be a disaster or aggravating circumstances of the victim or to add a list of injuries that have occurred.

2. Basic First Aid Principles Implementation
a. Maintaining the safety of self, team members, patients and people around him.
Maintain the safety of oneself is made compulsory by the Performer First Aid prior to help sufferers. Realize we will not be able to give help when our own injury, before reaching the patient or at the time was to help patients, so the safety of themselves and the team should be a priority. Safety issues include the dangers of those people around, an unstable building, fire, explosions, wild animals and other dangers.

b. Able to Reach Patients
As a rescuer we should be able to reach out to sufferers, both in the vehicle, amid the crowd, trapped in the building, if necessary, use simple tools. In case of accident or disaster, rescuers had to move the perpetrator the possibility of other patients to be able to reach a more severe patients. But remember the safety of (the) auxiliary is always number one. Do not attempt to exceed the limits.

c. Identifying and Troubleshooting can be life-threatening
Remember that we are at the accident scene to save lives, then we do well to recognize and cope with life-threatening situation. 

d. Request Assistance / Referral
First Aid perpetrator must take responsibility to help take over the handling patient referrals. Ambulances and immediately contact the nearest health facility.

e. Provides Relief With Quick and Right Based Victim Condition
Find a problem / disorder sufferers and give First Aid to use as little equipment as possible. Patient problems can be obtained from information gathered at the scene, witnesses and the patients themselves, and to conduct the examination and assessment of patients. Based on all this information we provide help according to our abilities and authority. First Aid can be simple, such as patient comfort.

f. Actors Helping Others First Aid.
We may be a second team that arrived at the scene, then it becomes our duty to assist the existing team.

g. Preparing patients to be transported (transferred)
Appointment and transfer of patients is only done when necessary. Do not let this action resulted in new injuries that aggravate the condition of the patient.

3. Performers First Aid Qualification
In order to carry out obligations above, so rescuers must have the following qualifications:
a. Honest and Responsible
b. Applicable Professional
c. Emotional Maturity
d. Social Ability
e. Good Physical Condition
f. Having a sense of pride
